The Williston Fitness Center offers fitness classes for all fitness levels. You can expect to be encouraged and challenged by our enthusiastic instructors! Each class is uniquely designed to give you a great workout and keep you coming back for more!
Any member of the Williston Fitness Center ages 13 and up is welcome to attend classes free of charge.
Class size may be limited due to equipment and space requirements. Please arrive on time as instructors may deny you access to class if you arrive after the warm-up period.
The Williston Fitness Center reserves the right to cancel class due to low attendance.

Please register for these classes through Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services online or by calling 952.939.8203. Most of these classes are included in the Williston Fitness Center membership; those which have an additional charge are listed at the end of this list.
Group fitness classes: free for members
All drop-in group fitness classes are free, except those listed in the section at the bottom of the list, which require pre-registration and have fees.
Class size may be limited to equipment and space requirements, and instructors may not allow you to participate if you arrive late and/or miss the warm-up exercise.
The Williston Fitness Center reserves the right to cancel any class due to low attendance.

All SilverSneaker classes and the Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday a.m. yoga classes require a ticket. A ticket can be picked up 30 minutes prior to the start of the class and will reserve your spot in class. Please hand in your ticket to the instructor upon arrival.
Participants will not be allowed access to classes after classes have started.
This class is all about strength and does not include any cardio. Strength equipment includes: body bars, stability balls, free weights, and bands. Formatted for all skill levels, this class will help you sculpt, tone and burn to the level you desire! Burn calories without the intense cardio while gaining lean muscle and increasing strength by targeting every muscle group.
This class offers ballet-inspired movements, yoga and traditional muscle sculpting exercises to strengthen and tone the body, improve cardiovascular fitness and increase flexibility. We use mostly our own body weight but also mix in light weights, balls and other tools to offer variety and a super effective workout. The music is motivating and the class is fun!
This high energy class will challenge and strengthen you from head to toe! This class includes cardio intervals mixed with strength training and core. A wide variety of equipment (hand weights, BOSU, Body Bars, etc) will be used to get a great full body work out.
This 50-minute workout is formatted for all skill levels, helping you sculpt, tone and burn to the level you desire in a dynamic group setting. Burn calories with short cardio intervals, while gaining lean muscle and increasing strength by targeting every muscle group.
Hatha Yoga (60 and 75 minute classes offered)
An ancient tradition nourishing mind, body and spirit through breath work and postures. Yoga builds strength, flexibility, balance and stamina bringing powerful results. Modifications are available for individuals who have any injuries or who are pregnant. Beginners to advanced participants welcome.
H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training)
This workout alternates between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity. This workout will use a variety of equipment: bodyweight exercises, plyometric drills, body bars, BOSU’s, and more!
A form of body conditioning that strengthens, stretches, and tones your muscles, while improving posture and balance. Pilates can increase your flexibility, unite your mind and body, and give you a more stream-lined shape, producing longer and leaner muscles.
A resistance training class perfect for men and women of all ages. Also includes abdominal work and flexibility training, and cardio intervals.
Senior Spin & Stretch
This is a 60 minute indoor cycling class for seniors and takes place on an adjustable stationary bicycle. The bike offers a customized fit and fixed gear drive. The class end with a stretching component to improve flexibility.
SilverSneakers: Cardio Circuit
Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head-to-toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
Spin & CORE
This class incorporates 45 minutes of indoor cycling and 15 minutes of core strength. The core is our powerhouse and will incorporate exercises to strengthen abdominals and obliques, lower/upper back and pelvic region. A stronger core means a stronger pedal stroke.
Spin & YOGA
This class incorporates 30 minutes of indoor cycling and 30 minutes of yoga. Adding yoga after your ride will elongate muscles, release tension, deepen the breath and improve posture.
An awesome indoor cycling class that provides all the terrain you need—hills, climbs, flats, and much more! Set to rockin’ music, you are sure to break a sweat as you cross the finish line with the team. A great way to increase lower body strength and cardiovascular endurance. Get there a few minutes early so the instructor can help set up your bike!
Trim ‘N’ Tone (TNT)
This 50-minute workout is formatted for all skill levels, helping you sculpt, tone and burn to the level you desire in a dynamic group setting. Burn calories without the intense cardio, while gaining lean muscle and increasing strength by targeting every muscle group.
This class consists of a dynamic warm up, plyometrics and drills to build power, speed, agility, endurance and core strength. A total body workout that is challenging and feels like you’re training one-on-one with a private trainer. Great for all levels of fitness!
Boost your cardiovascular fitness with this refreshed mix of cardio intervals. Step aerobics is not the only thing you’ll see in this class—come for a great floor and weight workout, too!
This is a challenging class for beginners and the seasoned yoga enthusiast. This class integrates many styles of yoga including traditional sun salutations, holding poses or some creative vinyasa flow depending on the day. Balance, core strength, stretching, breathing and meditation are combined to leave you feeling strong, stretched and centered.
A mix of Latin-based dances and moves from Hip-Hop. Lose yourself in the music and work your body… it’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s a workout when you don’t even know it!
Zumba Gold takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle (starts the week of September 7)

KettleBell STRONG ($)
Looking for a more efficient way to work out? Try the Williston Fitness Center’s new kettlebell classes this fall/winter! The kettlebell is an amazing resistance training tool that will help build strength, power, endurance, and cardio conditioning in one workout. The Kettlebell I class will teach you the basic movements, such as the swing, snatch, clean and jerk, while engaging the entire body at once in a way that mimics real world activities. This workout is done in bare feet or flat soled shoes. Wear loose-fitting clothing, bring water, and don’t forget a sweat towel! If pre-existing health conditions or injuries exist, please check with your doctor before starting this physically challenging class. Pre-register and fees do apply.
